Magystau rgn and Azerbaijan sales hit USD 46 mln in 2013

BAKU. KAZINFORM "The sales between the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan amounted to USD 46 mln in 2013," governor of the region Alik Aidarbayev said.

"There are 150 enterprises, companies and legal entities with articipation of Azerbaijan funds in the region. Foreign trade turnover made USD 46 mln in 2013. I am confident that our cooperation will grow further," Aidarbayev said addressing the Azeri-Kazakh business forum in Baku.

The governor noted that the Caspian Sea opens up wide opportunities to boost bilateral cooperation. "It is necessary to use transport potential of the Caspian Sea. Our region is unique, from this point of view, it is the only region of Kazakhstan to enjoy the developed transport infrastructure, a seaport and a special economic zone," he added.
