Majilis approved amendments to legislation on combating money laundering and terrorist financing

ASTANA. March 4. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Majilis (Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament) approved the bill ?On introduction of amendments to some legislative acts of Kazakhstan on combating money laundering and terrorist financing? at the plenary session, Kazinform reports.

The main purpose of the bill is to bring existing legislation into conformity with the draft Law "On Combating Laundering". The document introduces amendments to 6 codes and 17 laws. The Deputies introduced a number of amendments, regarding imposition of administrative penalties on the entities of financial monitoring only by a court, except cases covered in Article 52 of the Administrative Code of Kazakhstan and other issues.
