Majilis approved Bill on combating money laundering and terrorism financing

ASTANA. April 1. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Majilis (Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament) approved the Bill ?On combating money laundering and financing of terrorism?.

The Bill is aimed at the creation of legal conditions that prevent the use of financial system of Kazakhstan for legalization of illegal income and material support of terrorist activity. The provisions of the Bill regulate the rights and duties of entities of the financial monitoring, authorized bodies to combat money laundering and financing of terrorism. The Majilismen considered and approved amendments and additions to concurrent bill on amendments to the legislation on the issues of combating money laundering and financing of terrorism as well.
