Majilis approved draft Law “On statistics”

sp; ASTANA. November 17. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Draft Law "On state statistics" was approved at the plenary session of the Majilis (Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament).

Chairman of the Kazakh Agency on Statistics Alikhan Smailov noted that the draft Law is aimed at provision of the population, state bodies, international organizations and other consumers with efficient statistical organization.

The draft Law provides increase of transparency of the statistical activity, confidentiality of primary statistics provided by respondents.

During the work on the draft Law the deputies introduced a range of amendments to it. The amendments of the deputies specify regulation mechanisms of relations in statistic activity and coordination of statistical methodology.
