Majilis approved ratification of Kyoto Protocol

ASTANA. January 28. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Draft Law On ratification of the Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change has been approved at the plenary session of the Majilis today, Kazinform reports.

Kazakhstan ratified the UN Frame Convention on Climate Change in 1995. The Kyoto Protocol was adopted by the member countries with the aim of efficient realization of the Frame Convention and creation of a real mechanism for lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
