Majilis ratified Kazakhstan-Belarus Agr't on coop in prevention and liquidation of emergency situations

KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Kazakh Majilis has approved a draft Law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation in the field of civil defense, prevention and liquidation of emergency situations" at a plenary session.

"This Agreement was signed in Minsk on June 10, 2009. The Agreement is aimed at creation of the legal framework for cooperation of Kazakhstan and Belarus in the field of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations, joint actions in case of emergencies on the territory of one of the parties," Vice Minister of Emergencies Valery Petrov said.

According to him, cooperation within the framework of the Agreement will promote security of the two states, further development and improvement of activity rescue formations of the sides.
