Majilis ratifies UN Convention on Road Signs and Signals
ASTANA. November 17. KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The Majilis of the Kazakhstan Parliament has approved a draft law "On ratification of the UN Conventions on Road Signs and Signals".
Presenting the document Vice Minister of Internal Affairs Amantai Kurenbekov noted that 54 states joined the Convention as of November 1968.
According to the Deputy Minister, the Convention is designed to aid international road traffic by standardizing the signing system for road traffic. Contracting parties undertake to replace all road signs and road markings on the territory of their states within 15 years from the date of joining the Convention.
