Majilis speaker Koshanov chairs meeting of Amanat party faction

New tasks facing the parliamentarians were discussed today at a meeting of the Amanat party faction in the Majilis chaired by Majilis speaker, Amanat Party chairman Yerlan Koshanov, Kazinfrom News Agency has learnt from the Amanat party’s press service.

Opening the event, Koshanov pointed out that the President had outlined the major issues facing the country that need speedy solutions.

In his speech, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev demonstrated in a targeted and clear way the examples of inefficient bureaucratic ways to the implementation of his instructions. We need a professional approach focusing on concrete results. This principle needs to be followed in our law-making activity. Each law the Majilis submits should focus on the realization of the tasks set by the President aimed at developing the country and increasing the well-being of our citizens, said the Amanat Party’s chairman.

The Majilis speaker went on to add that the Head of State appointed the Prime minister proposed by the Amanat Party, showing his trust on the party and its huge solid responsibility for the country’s future.

The Head of State set the concrete task of ensuring the annual economic growth of at least 6% and bring the GDP to 450 billion US dollars by 2029. To this end, the Parliament deputies and the Government need to work as a team. Only this way, we could achieve all the set tasks effectively, said Koshanov.

Concluding the meeting, the Majilis speaker stressed that the Amanat faction needs to step up the work to carry out all the tasks the President gave.
