Major center set to be built in N Kazakhstan to export products to China

Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin got familiarized with the harvest campaign and met with the heads of the major agricultural enterprises in North Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

North Kazakhstan is the key grain-producing regions with a total of 4.4 million ha of irrigated land. The dairy industry accounts for 35% of the region’s total processing capacity, grain processing - 19%, oil and fat industry – 6.5% and meat processing – 7%.

The region’s Taiynshinskiy district has a cluster with the participation of Chinese investors: oil processing enterprise Memolux and oilseed processing enterprise Taiynsha mai. There are a mill complex and a feed factory as well as construction of a pasta production factory is underway in Aimak village. A factory for production of oil and seed residues operates in Ilichevka.

Memolux and Taiynsha mai projects were built to export their products to China. A major logistics center is set to be built in North Kazakhstan to export products to China.

Zhumangarin suggested consolidating products of Kazakhstani manufacturers for export, which was supported by Jia Hei, President of the Xi'an Ai Ju Industrial Corporation, which owns a warehouse at Alashankou station and exports Kazakhstani products to China.

The Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister also visited the ЕМС Agro meat processing plant, which is working to boost its capacity as well as begin pork exports to China.
