Major parts of crashed Pacific Fleet’s jet found in Tatar Strait
VLADIVOSTOK, December 25 (Itar-Tass) -- The major parts of the Pacific Fleet's airplane TU-142, which crashed this November, were found in the Tatar Strait. This is the parts of the cockpit and the engines, the public relations service of the Pacific Fleet told Itar-Tass on Friday.

On November 6, the TU-142M3 was on a training flight under the combat training plan. At the final stage of the flight over the Tatar Strait the radio contact with the crew was lost and the airplane disappeared from the radar screens. The airplane was carrying 11 crewmembers.
The military investigation department of the Prosecutor General's Office Investigation Committee (SKP) of the Pacific Fleet instituted a criminal case for violating the flight rules and the preparations to flights.
