Major task of VI Congress of Judges is to identify improvement mechanisms for credibility, independence and efficiency of judicial branch - Nazarbayev

ASTANA. November 20. KAZINFORM - Today in the Palace of Independence the President Nursultan Nazarbayev has outlined the basic task of the VI Congress of Judges of Kazakhstan.

The Head of State noted that in 4 years passed since the V Congress of Judges the domestic judicial system has improved its ranking in the global competitiveness by 23 positions, however, Kazakhstan ranks 80th place.

"It is necessary to improve efficiency by another 50-60 positions for Kazakhstan's accession to Top 30 developed countries. Therefore, we must strengthen our common work. And now it is important to identify priority areas and specific mechanisms for large-scale effort to raise the profile of independence, efficiency of the judicial branch", said Nursultan Nazarbayev.
