Makati City, Philippines declared selfie capital of the world
MAKATI. KAZINFORM According to TIME Magazine, taking a selfie is more popular in Makati City than in any other major city on the planet. The financial center of the Philippines, located in the Greater Manila area, topped the magazine's ranking of the "Selfiest Cities in the World," which is based on the city's population and on the number of geo-tagged photos uploaded to Instagram with the hashtag #selfie.
In Makati, TIME estimates that 258 people out of 100,000 are "selfie-takers, " Relaxnews reports. North American cities were well represented, as eight of the top 20 selfie capitals were located in the US, including Manhattan in second place. Details also at
