Man kills brother and fires house to cover up murder

ASTANA. November 14. KAZINFORM — In Talkara village of Akmola region a house owned by a 51-year-old man has caught fire, the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of Akmola region reposrts.

After extinguishing the fire a dead body of the owner was found. According to the neighbors the old man abused alcohol. In conformity with the act of forensic examination, the victim's death was caused by a penetrating stab wound to the heart. As a result of search operations the police officers have revealed that on the night of November 13 during drinking beverage and sudden quarrel occurred. As a result the 40-year-old brother of the victim, who came from Astana, stabbed the owner of the house. Further, in order to conceal traces of the crime the suspect set fire to the house.

During interrogation the detainee confessed to the murder.
