Manned Soyuz spacecraft scheduled to blast off to ISS on March 27

BAIKONUR. KAZINFORM - The manned Soyuz TMA-16M spacecraft is scheduled to blast off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan to the International Space Station at 19:42 GMT on March 27, the press service of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) told Tass on Wednesday.

The spacecraft will bring to the ISS Russian cosmonauts Gennady Padalka and Mikhail Korniyenko as well as NASA astronaut Scott Kelly for a one-year mission, which will focus on joint scientific experiments to prepare future missions to the outer space. The spacecraft has been mounted on Wednesday on the main launch site of Baikonur that Russia leases from Kazakhstan, TASS reports.
