Mars to open Global Food Safety Center in Beijing

BEIJING-BOAO. KAZINFORM - Mars Inc. plans to open the Global Food Safety Center in Beijing this year, Chairperson of the Board of Mars Inc. Victoria Mars told at the Boao Asian Forum in China.

"This is going to be the first center paying attention to food safety. We chose Beijing because of three factors. First of all, the Chinese market is huge, there are a lot of suppliers and a great consumer's demand. Secondly, China is going to play a critical role in the food safety in the future. Thirdly, Beijing has a great scientific and research basis," she said.

According to her, one of the factors that made them choose China was an opportunity to cooperate with the Government of China.
