Massimov: Kazakhstan attracts lion's share of foreign investment in Central Asia
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan attracts the lion's share of all foreign investments in Central Asia, Prime Minister Karim Massimov announced at the 8th Astana Economic Forum on Thursday.
"Kazakhstan is open for business and let me assure you it is the best country to do business in Central Asia. Over the past 24 years we have created solid platform for growth. Moreover, Kazakhstan's economic growth has more than doubled over the past two decades making it one of the world's top energy economies," Karim Massimov said. He reminded that Kazakhstan's economy is gradually becoming more diversified thanks to the well-thought-out investment policy. "We attract billions of US dollars into Central Asia. Kazakhstan attracts at least three-fourths of all foreign investments in Central Asia. As a result, we are becoming more competitive with more positive economy," the Kazakh Premier added.
