Massimov opened forum of domestic producers in Pavlodar
The Head of the Government expressed pleasure with an exhibition of the regional and country's enterprises opened there. K. Massimov was interested in the share of domestic content, prospects and potential for further growth.
"Today we have considered work of national companies and leading companies of the republic which are actively involved in realization of the program on increasing the share of Kazakhstan content in production and supply of goods, works and service", Minister of Industry and Trade Asset Issekeshev said at the opening of the forum. "We were demonstrated new opportunities and approaches to solution of the tasks set by the Head of the State", he added.
Governor of Pavlodar oblast Bakhytzhan Sagintayev informed the participants of the memorandums of cooperation concluded with the administration of the region to the sum of KZT 153 bln. Thus, procurement of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC in the oblast rose from KZT 550 mln to KZT 14.6 bln. Earlier KazMunaiGas JSC bought necessary products in Russia, while now it buys pipes from Pavlodar's KSP Steel.
The oblast has already implemented a number of investment projects. In September during the visit to the oblast President Nursultan Nazarbayev inaugurated a new plant on ethers and polypropylene production. A plant on hydrogen production was launched under the Pavlodar Oil Refinery. New productions on release of steel pipelines with the capacity of 100,000 tons, two large plants on ceramic brick production and a modem coating plant were established.
Construction of the electrolysis plant became a great event both for the region and whole country since it marked breakthrough to the world market. Its products - aluminum bars - are quoted on the London Metals Exchange.
The notion "Kazakhstan content" includes creation of high-technological enterprises, organization of concomitant productions, construction of infrastructure projects and creation of additional jobs.
Following the reports of the Parliament deputies, heads of leading enterprises of the country and national companies Prime Minister K. Massimov summed up the results of the forum.
He expressed gratitude to the majilismen for their work on the legislation regarding domestic content which "positively affects development of the Kazakhstan economy". The PM also supported the idea on allocation of loans at 8% per annum to the enterprises promoting growth of domestic content and called commercial banks to provide soft credits for revival of the major enterprises which in turn will positively influence industrial development".
The Head of the Government also reminded of introduction of single tariffs since January 1, 2010 due to establishment of the Customs Union "therefore particular attention must be given to raising competitiveness", he noted.
Following the forum Akimat of Pavlodar oblast and ENRC, SamrukKazyna Fund and Kazakhmys signed memos of coop.
