Massimov visited Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center in Moscow
SCOW. November 6. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov visited the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center on Sunday in Moscow.
Massimov visited the assembly shop for Angara rocket carriers and Briz-M upper stages.
The Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center was established on the basis of Russia's two biggest space companies: the Khrunichev Plant and the Salyut Design Bureau.
The Center is the prime contractor of the project on building and launching the national communication satellite "KazSat-2". KazSat-2 is designed to provide television broadcasting, fixed communications and data transmission. The satellite was launched from the Baikonur on July 16.
