Maximum tariffs for Kazakhstan's natural monopolies to be introduced - M.Ospanov

ASTANA. May 15. KAZINFORM Chairman of Kazakhstan's Agency for Natural Monopolies Regulation Murat Ospanov has suggested improving the tariff policy today at the Government meeting.

They are mainly aimed at creating more opportunities for the modernization of the subjects of natural monopolies, including heat, water, electricity and heat sources, as well as improving quality, reducing inefficient spending and loss of energy resources.

In particular, M. Ospanov suggested introducing the use of maximum tariffs.

According to him, it will allow to provide stability and predictability of the tariffs, growth of inestments into the assets modernization that will affect improving the quality of services and reduce wear and tear of equipment from 65-75% to 45-55% by 2020.
