Measles situation stabilizes in Kazakhstan

The situation with measles have stabilized in the country, the Healthcare Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan said in a statement, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Measles incidence has seen a 38% decrease in the past couple of months in Kazakhstan.

The ministry added that 92% of those eligible for vaccination against measles had been vaccinated as part of the additional immunization campaign.

However, new measles cases are still reported in the country. Given that the ministry urges parents to vaccinate their children against the disease.
