Medvedev glad law not breached in Saturday protests, disagrees with slogans
MOSCOW. December 12. KAZINFORM President Dmitry Medvedev said he was satisfied with the way the Saturday protest rallies were held although disagreed with the rally slogans; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
He made the comment on the Facebook on Sunday.
"The constitution grants citizens of Russia with the freedom of speech and assembly. People have the right to speak up, and that is what they did yesterday. It is good that the law was not breached," he wrote.
"I disagree with the slogans and statements made at the rallies. Nevertheless, I have ordered to check any reports from polling stations concerning the compliance with the election laws," Medvedev said; Kazinform cites Itar-Tass.
