Medvedev to present state-of-the-nation address on Dec 22

GORKI. December 13. KAZINFORM President Dmitry Medvedev will present a state-of-the-nation address at the Federal Assembly on December 22; Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.

"I would like to inform you that I will present the state-of-the-nation address on December 22," he told leaders of the parliamentary parties on Tuesday.

Election complaints must be analyzed and decisions must be made, President Dmitry Medvedev told leaders of parliamentary parties on Tuesday.

"Far from all are satisfied with the outcome of the expression of people's will. There are claims to certain polling stations too," he said. "Elections commissions and courts must thoroughly study all the complaints and lawsuits and make just decisions whenever real violations are exposed."
President Dmitry Medvedev thinks it necessary to pass many of State Duma committees under control of the opposition.

"In order to guarantee the rights of all parties it is necessary to ensure control of a substantial number of important committees not by the ruling party but by the opposition," he told leaders of parliamentary parties on Tuesday.
