Meirkhat Kassymbayev resigns as head of KazAvtoZhol

Meirkhat Kassymbayev has left his post as the chairman of the KazAvtoZhol national company at his own will, Kazinform Agency reports. 

In almost two years, my colleagues and I worked tirelessly to complete the so-called long-term road constructions. Huge work has been done. I can assure that as of today there is no delayed project on the republican road network in the country, wrote Kassymbayev on his Instagram account.

According to him, the road sector has been repeatedly under criticism of the leadership of the country and people.

There is, let’s day, a certain number of problematic issues requiring systemic approach. Under the President’s instruction, works are ongoing starting from last year to reform the sector in order to regulate the current situation, he noted.

Meirkhat Kassymbayev has held different posts in the law-enforcement bodies and state service bodies. He has a 10-year experience in road and infrastructure construction.

Kassymbayev took up the post of the chairman of the KazAvtoZhol national company in February last year.
