Memo on investment in chemical and petrochemical industry within WTO accession signed

ASTANA. September 17. KAZINFORM - "Center for Trade Policy" JSC under Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning and "United Chemical Company" Ltd. have endorsed a memorandum of cooperation, which defines the main directions and principles of mutual cooperation in the field of trade policy, within the framework of implementing investment projects in chemical and petrochemical industry in the context of Kazakhstan's accession to the World Trade Organization as well, reports the Secretariat of Minister for economic integration.

It is planned to work jointly to work out recommendations for changes in customs duties for development of the chemical industry, as well as identifying barriers to activities of subsidiaries and associates of "United Chemical Company" Ltd.

Special attention will be attributed to the development of special economic zones called "National Industrial Petrochemical Technology Park " ( Atyrau ) and "Chemical Park Taraz" ( Zhambul region).
