Memos on Kazakh local content signed in Atyrau: U.Shukeyev

ATYRAU. March 5. KAZINFORM /Andrey Sokolov/ First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Umirzak Shukeyev, paying official visit to Atyrau region, has held republican zonal meeting on the issues of increasing Kazakh local content.

Reps of large foreign and national companies, holdings, state structures of the cities Atyrau, Aktobe and West Kazakhstan region took part in the meeting. As U.Shukeyev noted, the main purpose of the antirecessionary program, realized by the Kazakh Government is increasing the local content in the projects of large companies and purchases, implemented by the state structures in the market. Upon the results of the last year the rate of Kazakh services was up to 80% of total volume, and the rate of goods ? only 20%. As the First Deputy Head of the Government noted, this amount can not satisfy the Government. In this regard, a range of measures that should stimulate companies to purchase more products at the domestic market will be taken. The Government will monitor the situation with every mineral developer. Upon the results of the meeting, a number of companies signed Memos on purchasing of goods and services, produced in Atyrau, Aktobe and West Kazakhstan. According to U.Shukeyev, the agreement on purchase of goods and services to the amount of KZT hundreds bln with foreign and national companies was achieved in these three regions.
