Military helicopter crashes in Uzbekistan

A military helicopter crashed during a training flight in Uzbekistan, Kazinform News Agency reports.

As the ministry of defense of Uzbekistan informed, the accident occurred on November 17 at 8:15 pm, when Mi-8 helicopter belonging to the air defense command and the Air Force of Uzbekistan crashed during a training flight at the Kattakurgan range in Samarkand region.

According to the ministry, the helicopter crew died in the accident. A commission is investigating into the cause of the tragedy. The ministry also expressed its condolences to the families and relatives of the dead.
