Minister of Defense meets with Indian Ambassador and Military Attache

ASTANA. January 8. KAZINFORM Kazakh Minister of Defense Daniyal Akhmetov has met with Indian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Kazakhstan Ashok Sajjanhar and the Indian Military Attache to Kazakhstan; Kazinform refers to the Ministry?s press service.

The Kazakh-Indian cooperation in the sphere of defense covers such important directions like the Kazakh specialists training in military educational institutions of the Indian Armed Forces, cooperation in the sphere of linguistic skills, organization of mutual visits and etc. It is necessary to note, that the last year was full of bilateral meetings. In February, 2008 the Kazakh military delegation visited India and held a number of important meetings. In October a delegation of the Kazakh Armed Forces visited the Indian military educational institutions, where the Kazakh military personnel are trained. Three Indian delegations visited Kazakhstan. The Kazakh Minister emphasized, that organization of bilateral visits gives an additional impulse to interaction in the sphere of defense. ?Crucial to continue cooperation in this direction?, D.Akhmetov said. Finally the Minister expressed confidence that this visit will promote further strengthening of friendship between the nations and cooperation between the armed forces.
