Minister S.Akhmetov visits defense industries of Uralsk

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Defense Minister Serik Akhmetov, who arrived on a working visit to the city of Uralsk, has visited local companies in the defense industry, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.

Akhmetov familiarized with the activities of enterprises producing special purpose goods. Minister was reported on the future plans, programs, development of new production lines of "West Kazakhstan Engineering Company", "Uralskagroremmash", "Ural plant "Zenith" and "Instrument-making plant "Omega". Defense Minister, focusing on current issues of the state military-technical policy, set a number of tasks on further strengthening of the defense-industrial sector. According to the minister, defense enterprises have "great potential and opportunities to enhance their positions in the international arms market".
