Ministry of Culture and Information to make proposals on implementation of digital television

ASTANA. January 23. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov has given an instruction to Astana Mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov to house artists of the Baisseitova Opera and Ballet Theatre at a Collegium of the Ministry of Culture and Information; Kazinform reports.

Within the session Director of the Theatre Toleubek Alpiyev said that artists did not receive housing in the capital and live in a dormitory. ?I give an instruction to Astana Mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov. In any case we will solve this issue. I support you?, K.Massimov said. The Premier summed up the results of the session, noting that the Ministry managed to fulfill work on preparation of a package of draft laws in 2008 and elaboration of the Strategic Plan. The Prime Minister charged to hold a joint work with the Ministry of Education and Science for summarizing the results of implementation of ?Cultural Heritage? state program and get ready for the discussion of issues on basic repair and reconstruction of some cultural buildings in Almaty at the Government?s session. The Minister of Culture and Information jointly with the Kazakh Agency for Informatization and Communications was charged to make proposals on implementation of digital television. ?We should solve this issue till the end of the first quarter of 2009?, the Premier said. Besides, K.Massimov charged to create an online-magazine in the Kazakh language.
