Ministry of Labor and Social protection summed up Jan-Sep 2009 results

ASTANA.  November 14. KAZINFORM  /Serik Sabekov/ Today the board of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection has held a video conference on the results of its activity in January-September 2009.

The board voiced the results of realization of the country's social policy in this period and defined main directions of its work for 2010.

It was noted that the main results of the Road Map's implementation allows to name it as the most successful programs of the Government. Thus as of Nov 1, 2009 KZT 152.6 bln were directed for the program's financing; 4,409 projects were realized; 258.5 thousand jobs were created; 247.1 thousand people were employed; 69.6 thousand people were provided with social jobs and 93.8 thousand people were sent for training and retraining courses.

Besides, local executives took additional measures on active social support within regional employment programs. 98.6 thousand people were sent for public work over the reporting period which is 6% higher against the same period in 2008.

The sitting was attended by minister of Labor and Social Protection Gulshara Abdykalikova, vice ministers, heads of departments and committees of the Ministry, territorial departments, administrations of employment and coordination of social programs and experts of local executive bodies.
