Ministry of Regional Development plans a number of industrial zones in 12 regions of Kazakhstan

ASTANA. July 16. KAZINFORM - According to the local government offices there is a plan to establish a number of industrial zones in 12 regions. This has been reported today by the Vice-Minister of Regional Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin at the Governmental meeting.

"As the issue is new for the Ministry of Regional Development, at the moment we are identifying further approaches for development of industrial zones" said Zhumangarin.

According to him, the concept of industrial zones, their aims and objectives are clearly spelled out in the law on private enterprise, but the basic requirements for the industrial zones are not specified anywhere else.

"We now offer to articulate them in the package of changes to the program named "Business Road Map " with a preferential orientation of industrial zones on small and medium-sized businesses. For a large business, we have made additional entry conditions, " said Zhumangarin.
