Minsk hosts cultural event devoted to Kazakhstan's Independence Day

Making a speech Kazakh Ambassador to Belarus Anatoly Smirnov congratulated the attendants on the oncoming holiday and thanked the management of Belarusian Society for Friendship and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries for the opportunity to hold regular activities on Kazakhstan topics. "Holding of such events promotes patriotic education of youth and strengthening of friendship between the two nations", the diplomat said.
Chairman of Standing Committee for National Security of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Viktor Guminsky noted the increased dynamic of relations between the two states and paid special attention to Kazakhstan's achievements for the period of its independence. "18 years is not a long period in the history. However, Kazakhstan managed to reach significant results in socio-economic and political development", Mr. Guminsky said.
Kazakh and Belarusian singers and dancers performed at the festive evening.
