Moderate earthquake hits southern Egypt
CAIRO. October 28. KAZINFORM A 4.6-magnitude earthquake hits southern Egypt Thursday with no reports of damage or casualties, Egyptian authorities said. Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
The quake occurred at around 11 a.m. (0900GMT) in the areas of Sohag and Qena governorates with the epicenter ten kilometers underground, said Salah Mohamed Mahmoud, head of Egypt's Research Institute for Astronomy and Geophysics.
