Modular is the recognized symbol of the ideal of architecture and design developed by Swiss architect Charles Le Corbusie as a system of "harmonic proportions comparable sized with the extent of a man, universally applicable to architecture and mechanics." Modular is the perfect symbol of modern architecture, reflecting the spirit of modernity, innovation, art and creativity of modern times: the architecture for people. There has been a shift in the minds of architects under the impression of projects and buildings of Le Corbusier, the ideological father of Modular, resulting in the use of more widely and greater ease of free forms in architecture than ever before. Modular is popular all over the world, and its image is on a Swiss banknote dedicated to Le Corbusier.
