Moldova appeals for negotiations restoration on development of Transnistrian conflict settlement
"We again call for resumption of formal negotiations in the "5 plus 2" format for elaboration of integrated solution of the Transnistrian conflict on the basis of sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova. We openly make a request for our partners to help in conviction of the Transnistrian leaders for returning to the negotiating table", V.Osipov said.
He noted that "the time of sides' separation in a conflict is over".
"We should move to a dialogue strategy, strengthening confidence and country's reintegration on the basis of comprehensive political solution", the Vice Premier emphasized.
In this connection, he expressed thanks to the Kazakh chairmanship in the OSCE which contributed to filling the dialogue with specific content and making it systemic.
"Unsettled Transnistrian conflict is not only threat for security of the Republic of Moldova, but of the whole region. The conflict is a cause of internal political clashes and source of distrust at the interstate level", the Vice Premier stated.
