Mongolia railway network expands by over 850km

As the network and scope of Mongolia's railway infrastructure expand, along with the increase in railway infrastructure ownership, there is a growing need to enhance the quality of cargo transportation and transport logistics services and increase social and economic benefits. The Ministry of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia, "Mongolian Railway" State-Owned Joint Stock Company, and the "Railway Traffic Control Center in Mongolia" State-Owned Enterprises held a discussion to identify and address the demands and requirements, share information, and reach an agreement on the volume of transit cargo, MONTSAME reports.

At the Meeting, the parties discussed the cargo volume to be carried in 2024 on the 1,800 km railway infrastructure of Ulaanbaatar Railway JVC, and on railways in route of "Tavantolgoi-Zuunbayan," "Tavantolgoi-Gashuunsukhait," and "Zuunbayan-Hangi, Additionally, matters concerning the coordination and transportation of freight, activities to be carried out in freight transportation and transport logistics, difficulties encountered, and future actions were also deliberated.

Ulaanbaatar Railway JVC, "Tavantolgoi Railway" LLC, "Mongolian Trans Line" LLC, and “Mongolian trans logistics” LLC were present at the Meeting.
