More than 850 offences against minors registered in Karaganda rgn

KARAGANDA. November 19. KAZINFORM - Karaganda region since the beginning of the year has registered more than 850 offenses against minors, the press service of the regional Department of Internal Affairs informs.

"The checks that have been carried out showed that a large number of children live in families at risk, that is, actually they are orphans with living parents. Particular attention is paid to identification and registration of dysfunctional families", the report says.

According to the police, there are more than 450 registered teenagers who are prone to wander. Under supervision there are are also more than 1,000 children in difficult situations.

As the police says, during 10 months more than 3,700 parents were brought to administrative responsibility for night walks of their unaccompanied children and being at a later time in entertainment establishments. In addition, 150 owners of entertainment places were fined for allowing teenagers at night.

For failure to parent child-rearing responsibilities 889 people underwent a fine.
