More than two-thirds of Kazakhstanis used air travel services in 2023
Passenger turnover in 2023 stood at 25,898.5 million passenger-km, with each air passenger accounting for 1,947km, the Kazakh transport ministry said, Kazinform News Agency reports.
In 2023, Kazakhstani airlines carried 13.3 million passengers, which is 66.5% of the country’s total population (20 million people). So, more than two-thirds of Kazakhstanis used air travel services through the year, reads a response of the country’s transport ministry to an inquiry by Kazinform News Agency.
The data also reveals that each air passenger covered 1,947 kilometers on average.
