Mortality rates decrease by 8% in Kazakhstan, Minister Alnazarova

Since the launch of the Compulsory Social Health Insurance system, the country’s demographic and heath indicators improved, Kazinform News Agency quotes Kazakh Healthcare Minister Akmaral Alnazarova as saying.

As of today 83%, of Kazakhstanis are included in the Compulsory Social Health Insurance system. Of which 72% are from vulnerable groups of the population. They have full access to medical care.

She told the Government Hour held at the Majilis since 2019 rural healthcare funding tripled and financing of high-tech medical assistance grew by 2.7 times.

The Minister stressed since the start of the Compulsory Social Health Insurance system the country’s mortality rates reduced by 8%, including infant and maternal death and the expected lifespan increased up to 75 years old.

As written before, teen pregnancy rates decreased by 10.2% in Kazakhstan in 2024.
