Moscow and Aktau strengthen contacts
MOSCOW. January 28. KAZINFORM /Arnur Rakhymbekov/ A delegation of Moscow administration arrived in Aktau at the invitation of Governor of Mangystau region Krymbek Kusherbayev, Kazinform reports.
In accordance with the decision of the Mayor of Moscow, the delegation consisting of: Councilor of the Mayor, Executive Vice President of the International Assembly of Capitals and Large Cities (IAC) Mikhail Sokolov, Councilor of Administration on the CIS and Baltic states of the department of foreign economic and international relations of Moscow Valery Sapozhnikov and President of ?DKM-Engineering? CJSC, IAC expert Sergey Petrikov visits Aktau.
The main purpose of the visit is to present projects of the Association and review of economic potential of the region in order to organize mutual cooperation.
The reps of the Moscow administration were received by Krymbek Kusherbayev Monday. The sides discussed prospects of the projects of the Assembly and economic potential of Mangystau. Particular ways of mutually beneficial cooperation development were discussed as well.
The same day, IAC Vice President M.Sokolov visited Akimat of Aktau where upon the results of the meeting with Mayor Salimgerey Bekbergenov signed Agreement on cooperation between the IAC and Aktau. Besides, on behalf of Moscow Mayor Y.Luzhkov, the reps of the delegation handed out a certificate of membership of Aktau in the Assembly.
