MOSCOW. November 7. KAZINFORM - In Moscow there took place a bilateral meeting between the CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha and the OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier.

Bordyuzha praised streamlined constant exchange of information between organizations. This interaction, in his opinion, allows more focus work in the UN Security Council.

"Today we are ready to share our views on the situation in the area of ​​the CSTO and the OSCE ", said Bordyuzha.

In turn L.Zanner noted that this was his third visit to the headquarters of the CSTO.

"I believe that our work is the complementarity and synergy of the overall effort. We face the same challenges, which is why I am also interested in discussing how we can proceed and how we can develop our cooperation in the practical aspect. I see this meeting as an opportunity to continue our dialogue, " he said.

During the meeting the head of the OSCE Bordyuzha awarded the medal - "20 ​​years of the CSTO" - for making special efforts to ensure security in the area of collective security.

Heads of organizations plan to discuss combating cross-border threats, the fight against terrorism and extremism, stability and security, conflict prevention and resolution in the entire Eurasian region, the situation in Afghanistan and the threat emanating from there in the context of the withdrawal of the International Security Assistance Force in 2014.

The sides also touched upon the preparations for the 20th meeting of the foreign ministers of the OSCE, which will take place in December 5-6 in Kiev (Ukraine).
