Moscow is hosting 59th meeting of CIS Economic Council

The Kazakh delegation is headed by the Deputy Prime Minister Kairat Kelimbetov. The agenda includes a wide range of issues of cooperation between the CIS countries in the field of economy. At present, the meeting is being held in a narrow format, at the level of deputy heads of the governments of the Commonwealth.

According to the Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the CIS Economic Council Oleg Peskov, the meeting has already discussed questions of economy, energy, communications, exhibition activities in which Kazakhstan plays significant role.

"Every decision of the Economic Council is a move forward in the process of integration of the countries of the Commonwealth. We also discuss problems on the implementation of the agreement on the Free Trade Area of the CIS", said the Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to the Economic Council.

"We aim to get rid of various restrictions on the route of administration while implementing the free trade zone agreement", said Peskov.

The representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan also informed that the agenda does not include topic of possible responses to the preparation of signing of the agreement on association the Ukraine with the EU.

As it was previously reported the participants will discuss the information on the main target of macroeconomic indicators of economic development of the CIS, the implementation status of the Framework Cooperation of the CIS countries in the field of peaceful use of nuclear energy for the period up to 2020 named "Cooperation "ATOM CIS", the adjusted forecast of production and consumption of CIS states' energy up to 2020 and the consolidated list of competitive products offered by the manufacturers of the Commonwealth.

The session will review the use of the world scientific digital information resources to improve the efficiency of the CIS scientists.
In addition, the round table will discuss a number of institutional and fiscal matters.
