Moscow to host CIS economic forum
The forum will discuss the development of economic cooperation between the CIS countries. In particular, the participants will talk over a number of issues regarding the implementation of the CIS free trade area agreement and the interstate innovation cooperation program up to 2020, the effective development of tourism industry in the CIS, and new mechanisms of integration.
The forum will feature a roundtable to discuss the prospects for sustainable economic growth in the context of Eurasian integration, and thematic sections on the "Free trade zone development. Interconnection of Integration Formats", "Mechanisms of implementation of innovation projects and intellectual property", "2014 is the Year of Tourism in the CIS. Development of tourism industry in the CIS", and "Financing of infrastructure projects in the CIS. Creation of network of transport and logistics centers". The economic forum will also include the award ceremony of the CIS Business Leader competition.
Partaking in the event will be representatives of the governments of the CIS countries, heads of the state corporations and major business entities, professional industry associations, business partnerships, banks, and insurance companies of the CIS countries, BelTA reports.
The forum has been organized by the CIS Business Center for Economic Development with the support of the CIS Executive Committee and the CIS Financial and Banking Council.
