According to the results of a survey conducted by Russia's oldest polling institution, VCIOM, 73 percent support the decision, and only six percent would not agree to it.

According to the survey, over past two years, the number of those who claim they need time to get adjusted to new timing is growing /from 24 to 28 percent/ and those who claim they feel certain discomfort /from 13 to 20 percent/. The share of those who is not affected by changes of time from the so-called summer to winter and back has been declining /from 60 to 49 percent/.

The poll was conducted on February. The VCIOM surveyed 1,600 Russians in 138 cities and villages of Russia's 46 territories. The statistical margin does not exceed 3.4 percent.

From autumn of 2011, Russia will not resume the so-called winter time. In March it will be for the last time that all watches would be moved one hour forward. The country will start the daylight saving time, getting more light hours, and later on this time will stay. Thus Russia will live two hours ahead of its zone time.
