Myanmar president to make 5-day visit to Japan from Friday

TOKYO. April 18. KAZINFORM Myanmar President Thein Sein will make a five-day visit to Japan from this weekend to attend a multilateral meeting and hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda, a Japanese Foreign Ministry official said Wednesday.

As part of efforts to help support Myanmar's transition to democratic governance, Noda is likely to announce a restart of full-fledged Japanese financial assistance to the long-isolated country during his talks with Thein Sein on Saturday, government sources familiar with the matter said,  Kyodo reports.
