N Kazakhstan observes upswing in measles cases

 North Kazakhstan region has registered a total of 241 measles cases in January, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports. 

According to the sanitary epidemiological control office, the region has recorded 333 confirmed measles cases, including 241 this January and 92 throughout last year.

Petropavlovsk city accounts for 282 measles cases.

As part of the additional measles immunization, 18,925 residents of North Kazakhstan region received vaccines.
