N Kazakhstan region welcomes first triplets this year

North Kazakhstan region has welcomed the first triplets this year. All the newborns are girls, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The first girl weighing 2,145 grams was named Yelizaveta. The second baby was born weighing 1,976 grams and was named Angelina, and the third girl weighing 2,123 grams was named Margarita. The length of the newborn girls is 47, 40 and 43 centimeters.

Yuliya Ilyashenko, the mother of the triplets, says her eldest child (a son) and the triplets were born through the use of in vitro fertilization.

“When I learned that I was pregnagt with triplets, I was shocked, at first. I dreamed of twins, and got triplets. We feel good, the girls are gaining weight,” she says.

According to Saule Mustafina, chief of the post-natal unit, 2,523 children have been born in the regional perinatal center since the beginning of the year, including 32 twins and Ilyashenko's triplets.

 Since 2023, the perinatal center has welcomed two sets of triplets and 62 twins.

In August, a 33-year-old mother of seven daughters from Turkistan region gave birth to two boys and a girl. The boys were named Kassym and Jomart and the girl was named Kemel.
