N Kazakhstan to bring preschool education coverage to 95%
Two rural schools for 900 places set to reduce the shortage of school places in North Kazakhstan region are under construction, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
According to head of North Kazakhstan region Gauyez Nurmukhambetov, the region has spent one third of its annual budget (27.8%) to the education sphere, rising by 19% year-over-year.
48 education facilities underwent overhaul for KZT4.3bn.
Construction of two schools for 720 places to replace emergency ones was completed. It is also expected to build a 120-place school in Dragomirovka, Taiynshinskiy district to eliminate emergency schools by 2025.
Governor Nurmukhambetov pointed out that at the expense of the Education Infrastructure Support Fund, the construction of a correctional school for 300 places with a 50-place boarding school in Bereke district is underway.
To reduce the shortage of school places (6,464), it is planned to construct two rural schools for 900 places in Novoishimskoye (600 places) and Smirnovo (300). In the next three years, four schools for 2,700 places are to be built as part of the Comfortable School national project. Two kindergartens for 420 places are set to be constructed in Petropavlovsk. This will enable to bring the preschool education coverage in the region to 95%.
