N Kazakhstan to build Table Tennis Centre and Ice Palace
A new Table Tennis Centre and an Ice Palace will be built in the city of Petropavlovsk, North Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency quotes governor Gauez Nurmukhambetov as saying.
He added more than 41% of residents are engaged in sports. By 2025 the number of those doing sports will increase up to 50%.
The governor said the region creates all conditions to develop sports infrastructure. Five sports and health centres, four indoor hockey courts, a covered swimming pool, and a gym are being constructed.
Construction of a 244-bed dormitory for the regional Olympic reserve school, the first stage of the Karasai stadium reconstruction will be completed soon. The second stage will start next year.
