N. Nazarbayev always supports initiatives of veteran organizations - O. Ozganbayev

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - A meeting with head of the council of the veteran organization of Kazakhstan, academician Omirzak Ozganbayev was held in Astana, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan informs.

O. Azganbayev told about the preparation for celebration of the 550 th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate, 70 th anniversary of the Great Victory and 20 th anniversary of the Constitution and establishment of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan.

"People of Kazakhstan made a significant contribution to the Victory of the Great Patriotic War, the war that took a lot of lives. 1 million 800 thousand people from Kazakhstan fought in that war and almost a half of them did not come back. Now, thanks to what they did we live peacefully and happily," O. Ozganbayev added.

Besides, he noted that veterans are honored in Kazakhstan and are paid special attention. The pensions are raised on a regular basis, bonuses are paid as well. Moreover, the conditions for treatment and rest of the veterans are created and improved in the country. President N. Nazarbayev always supports veterans and all the initiatives of the veteran organizations.
